Full House in Houston

It was wonderful to have such a great turnout in Houston, and especially to receive such fantastic support from members of the Professional Photographers Guild of Houston, one of PPA’s most active affiliates. Special thanks go to PPGH President Kim Christiansen, who got the ball rolling by encouraging me to come to Houston! As is the case with any Texas crowd, I loved the energy and the willingness of so many to contribute.

Next stop . . . Des Moines on May 19-20.

Friends, Fun and Focus in Philadelphia

P1000290

What a great (and fun) group of photographers I had the pleasure of meeting with in Philadelphia; it was wonderful seeing some old friends and making some new ones! I especially enjoyed their good humor, their many great questions, and their sharing of ideas and solutions.

The Philadelphia workshop took on an interesting international flavor, with six of the attendees having grown up abroad. On my left are Gordon Aitkin (Scotland); Wendy, Palmer (South Africa), and Alicia Dal Lago (Argentina); and on my right are Grainne Aitkin (Ireland), Gabriela Castillo (Mexico) and Sean Gallagher (Ireland). Canada also was represented, as Gordon and Grainne now live Ontario; I was blow away that they drove all the way from their home in Waterloo!
